Composition: Stainless steel combination bit with 30 mm flat, tilting mouthpiece
This combination bit is designed to provide gentle, distributed action between the mouth, nose, and poll, making it ideal for sensitive horses, those with difficulty accepting the bit, or those transitioning progressively toward bitless riding
Its flat, straight mouthpiece, articulated at a 90° angle, naturally follows the horse’s jaw and offers a broad contact surface, evenly distributing pressure. It also features an integrated tongue relief, which helps to reduce pressure on the palate and encourages relaxation and suppleness.
The combination system blends bit action with gentle pressure on the nose, which can be adjusted depending on the type of noseband used (soft leather, fine rope, flat nylon, etc.). This balance of signals promotes a calmer, straighter, and more focused horse.
This bit is particularly appreciated in the following situations:
– Horses that resist the bit, have an ultra-sensitive mouth, or have experienced oral trauma
– For a gradual transition to bitless
– In hacking, light dressage, or for young or lightly trained horses
It can be used:
– with single reins (for overall combined action)
– or with double reins when the model allows (to separate nose and bit action)
The nose pressure is direct and varies depending on the material used:
– Leather for softer contact
– Rope for a more precise action
– Rubber-coated chain for slightly stronger influence
The interchangeable noseband system allows you to easily switch between different types, for example, from a softer rope noseband to a rubber-covered chain for increased intensity when needed.
Nosebands are attached using a screw system, allowing for quick and simple changes.
A Teflon tape spool is also included to help ensure a secure grip when the screws are properly tightened.
Usage tip: A leather curb strap is supplied with the bit, but it may be replaced with a nylon strap or a curb chain, depending on the desired effect.
Care advice: Rinse the bit thoroughly after each use to prevent residue buildup and avoid discomfort for your horse.
