How to Start a Return/Refund/Shipping Claim

  • Use the Return Portal to start a return, exchange, or shipping claim.


Return Window

  • Returns must be requested within 30 days of delivery.

  • Sale and Clearance items are final sale. 


Item Condition

  • Items must be unused, unworn, with tags, and in original manufacturer’s packaging.

  • Do not write on or attach labels to product packaging.

  • Pack items in a box, poly-mailer, or wrapped in shipping paper.

  • 20% restocking fee applies if product packaging is damaged from labels or writing.


Required Information

Include this if the packing slip is missing:

  • Name

  • Email

  • Order number

  • Reason for return

  • Refund or exchange preference

  • For exchanges: list the item desired (you’ll receive an invoice for any difference + shipping before the new item ships).

Damaged or Incorrect Items

Inspect your order upon arrival. Contact us immediately if items are defective, damaged, or incorrect so we can resolve the issue. All reports of damaged or incorrect items must be made within 3 days of delivery.

We may decline a return if:

  • The item was not purchased directly from Fair Hill Saddlery.

  • Labels are missing/defaced.

  • Item is wet, dirty, or contaminated.

  • Item is personalized (unless defective).

  • Multiple prior returns of the same item.


Non-Returnable Items

  • Perishables: treats, feed, supplements

  • Custom or personalized items

  • Personal care products (e.g. undergarments, beauty items)

  • Safety products (helmets, vests) without authorization

  • Gift cards

  • Final sale/clearance items


Refunds

  • You’ll be notified by email once your return is inspected.

  • Approved refunds are issued to your original payment method within 10 business days.

  • If it has been more than 15 business days since approval, contact us at wehavenicethings@fairhillsaddlery.com.

  • Refund will be less the amount of the original shipping charges, fee for a return label, Checkout+ fees, and any restocking fees.

Price Adjustments

  • Purchases within 5 days of a sales event may receive a store credit adjustment (exclusions apply).


Missing or Stolen Packages

  • To best protect your order, it is recommended that you opt in for Checkout+ for shipping insurance and free returns.

  • We cannot refund packages confirmed as delivered.

  • If your package is missing:

    1. We file a USPS/UPS help request (may take up to 30 business days).

    2. If not found within 10 days, we escalate to a missing mail search.

    3. After 2 weeks, we may file an insurance claim. If the claim is approved, we will issue a full refund for the value of the order. 

  • If USPS/UPS confirms delivery, Fair Hill Saddlery is not liable. Be sure to watch the tracking for delivery confirmation.
