Helmet Safety Warning & Disclaimer
IMPORTANT SAFETY WARNING
NO HELMET OR IMPACT PROTECTION SYSTEM CAN PREVENT ALL INJURIES, INCLUDING CONCUSSIONS, TRAUMATIC BRAIN INJURIES, SERIOUS BODILY INJURY, OR DEATH.
Equestrian helmets are designed to help reduce the risk and severity of certain head injuries. However, no helmet can guarantee protection against every type of impact, fall, collision, or accident. All helmets have limitations, regardless of their design, construction, safety certifications, or protective technologies.
Mips® Safety Information
Certain helmets sold by Fair Hill Saddlery are equipped with the Mips® (Multi-directional Impact Protection System), which is designed to help reduce rotational motion transferred to the head during certain angled impacts.
DO NOT REMOVE, REPOSITION, MODIFY, OR TAMPER WITH THE MIPS® SYSTEM OR ANY OF ITS COMPONENTS.
The Mips® system is an integral part of the helmet's protective design and is not intended to be removed or adjusted by the wearer unless expressly authorized by the helmet manufacturer.
Do not use a helmet if the Mips® system is damaged, displaced, altered, or otherwise compromised.
In rare circumstances, certain Mips® low-friction layers or other internal helmet components may contribute to scalp abrasions or lacerations during an impact. This may occur because of pressure against the scalp or movement of the low-friction layer during certain angled impacts.
For additional information about Mips® technology, please contact Mips directly at info@mipsprotection.com.
Helmet Use, Inspection & Replacement
Customers are responsible for selecting a properly fitted helmet appropriate for their intended equestrian activities and following all manufacturer instructions regarding fitting, adjustment, care, storage, inspection, and replacement.
Helmets should be inspected regularly for visible signs of damage, deterioration, or compromised components.
Any helmet subjected to a fall, significant impact, or collision should be removed from use and replaced in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations, even if no visible damage is present.
Helmets should never be modified or used with damaged, missing, or improperly positioned components.
